August is such a transitional month for me. It starts the end of summer and beginning of the school year for my oldest, and now my youngest.

The things I’m currently focused on this month are more photography related. I’m working on styles shoots to add to my portfolio. I’m thinking of shifting my focus more to editorial portraits. I want to add words to my images to tell a visual narrative. Other than that, not much has changed since July. Take a peek below.

CURRENTLY

Reading  - Influencer: Building Your Personal Brand in the Age of Social Media

Watching - Ozark on Netflix

Trying - Minimalism.  I need to get rid of so much stuff in this house.

Drinking - WATER. I’ve felt really dehydrated these days.

Pinning - Urban PortraitsIdeas to hang prints in my home, and haircuts

Documenting - My dad gave me hundreds of old photos for my preservation project.  Check out a few & learn more about me here.

Doing - A photographic preservation project. Scanning old photos to learn more about my family.

Loving - My quiet time alone in the morning

Thinking - About my legacy. What do I want my kids to remember about me.

Feeling - Nostalgic.

Hopeful (for) - My photography. I have so many ideas and want to move forward with them.

Listening (to) - Podcasts…I need recommendations if you have any.

Celebrating - The beginning of the school year. Fourth grade for Micah and Preschool of Marcel!

Thinking - Organization….still

Considering - Writing a book on documenting the Family Narrative

Finishing - Nothing....As you can tell by this list, I either just beginning or in the middle of things.

Starting - To stop not asking for what I want because I think I'm not worth it.

So, thats what I'm doing this July. What about you? What are you currently up to this this month.

Let me know in the comments, or on social media on InstagramTwitter or Facebook.
