Frequently Asked Questions

What kind of photographer are you?

My approach to photography is artistic, photojournalistic and cinematic. With every shot, I’m constantly thinking of new ways to creatively tell your story, to show the fun, light, laughter, movement, true love and real emotion of you and your family. I also understand the importance of taking posed portraits as well. During your session, there will be a mix of images of your family posed and ready for the camera, and a couple of your family just being themselves.

How long will my session last?

Sessions usually last anywhere from 60 to 90 minutes. I want to make sure everyone is comfortable and I never rush if we are running short on time. This is especially important when photographing kids who may need time to warm up to the idea of being photographed or take breaks during the session.

Where will my session be held?

I am a natural light on-location photographer. Some of my favorite places around Chicago to shoot are local parks, the zoo and downtown Chicago. I also love in-home lifestyle sessions that really show the personality of my clients.

What should I wear?

First, dress with comfort in mind and make sure your styling reflects who you are. If you show up to the session uncomfortable it almost always show in your images. I recommend neutral tones with a pop a pop of color or a pattern. For family sessions, try to avoid everyone wearing the same color top and bottoms.

Will I get my digital files, what about prints?

Yes. Your digital files will be available in a private online gallery about 4 to 6 weeks (sometimes sooner) after your session. Prints and other fine art framed products are available for purchase.

How can I book a session?
